Should I stay or leave?

I recently received a job offer for an acquisitions role with a pay bump that feels like a great opportunity. As I weigh my own personal pros and cons, I'd love to hear some general insights on transitioning to a new role and what I should look out for.

Obviously hard to give specific advice without context, but I am looking at this on a broader level to get different viewpoints on making the jump and what I should keep in mind.

Any advice on making a good impression the first few months would be appreciated as well!

A little bit of context if helpful... This is a very lean team. CIO, VP of Investment Management and then me. I'd be the sole analyst on the team taking on the brunt of the underwriting. Roughly $1B AUM.

Thanks!

Maybe I'm not getting something here, but you got a job offer that pays more and presumably is a better job but you're confused as to if you should take it?

Why would you not?

General advice on what you should look out for when taking a role? It really depends on what you are looking for.

Do you want to work at a large firm or small one? Is this a long term career or a stint before your next move professionally? Are there specific skills you are looking to learn? Do you know you want to do this as a career or still feeling things out?
