  1. As usual, lose the objective
  2. I would lose that "strengths" section, just takes up space
  3. It's aesthetically nice enough, would be better if you lost the dash after every section heading
  4. Lose the part where you say you wake up in the morning for the market, sounds douche-y
  5. Everything you have here is more in line with being a trader, talk more about technical abilities in relation to IB
  6. Lose the last bullet point completely
  7. Don't use contractions on a resume
  8. Don't you have any kind of real work experience you can write about?

Needs a thorough rewriting and reevaluation of what to include.

WillATXI have literally no work experience, unless you count random fast food in high school.

I've deleted the 8am part

Any kinds of clubs, anything? Uncle's company? Something you can put on a resume? Start stretching the truth.

I like your formatting anyway...but the substance simply isn't there.

Well, I was a "telephone surveyor" for like a month during the summer. Is that pretty much a telemarketer? I didn't sell anything, but did surveys over the phone. If i included that, should I lie about the employment and make it may-august instead of just july-august?

if i lie about employment dates and get called out on it, im royally fucked. I worked there for probably 5 weeks

Should I say i worked there from May - August? If I get called out on it, I'm fucked

1.) Join some type of investment club at your school 2.) Eliminate "Bulldog Tenacity" 3.) Call every PWM, IB, HF, PE fund, and anything relatively finance related to get an unpaid internship where you will file all day just to get some finance stuff on your background 4.) Maybe take a wallstreet prep valuation class just to put on your resume (pretty pricey if your company isn't paying for it) 4.) Go get laid while you still have a life (it's friday night)

  • The strengths and objective sections make it seem like you're trying to do a lot of dick sucking ("all the formal education in the world...", "dedicated", "apt learner") - listing personality traits aren't gonna work because that's what the point of an interview is. The resume is for listing your relevant work and club experience, which frankly, you are severely lacking in.

  • Take out the last bullet in your Activities section. Writing that you "intend" to join something is just about as useless as not having it on there in the first place. It's like putting "I intend to get an internship" in your work experience section.

At this point, you won't be able to get much more than an unpaid internship at a boutique / Merrill Lynch branch doing clerical work. Everybody's gotta start somewhere.

  1. Start your life over
  2. Start your life over
  3. Start...
