REPE entry level resume out of college

Hey everyone,

First post. I'm hoping to land an analyst/associate position when I graduate. I'm self taught in the field, aside from a PE internship I landed this year.

I would really appreciate any criticism! None of my friends are big into investment or real estate, so I haven't gotten much strong advice.

I didn't include GPA because it's around 3.0

Thank you all :)

  1. Any format other than the M&I format makes me cringe anymore, to be honest. Perhaps unfair, but it seems unfinished to me. Looks more like a meeting agenda or a notes sheet for presenting a powerpoint than a resume. As far as GPA, it depends where you're applying. I've never listed it (mine is poor too) and only have been asked once.

  2. I would watch how many eclectic parts of yourself you put on the page. Yes you want to have character, but you don't want to be a character, if you know what I mean. You are an art history minor, robotics startup founder, robotics club founder, video game website founder, filmmaker, Russian and Hebrew speaker, etc.

  3. Similar to #2, you need to focus your resume more. Some of the non-real estate things show leadership skills and that's good, but there is a lot of overlap with them. If I was reading your resume, I would worry about you not being happy in the role you're being hired for and leaving to be a filmmaker or website designer or something.

  4. Your accomplishments are incredibly strong for your age. Argus and Excel skills plus multiple internships? That's awesome. 2 & 3 completely overshadow them though, even though they are listed first.
