Am I an oxford alum if i only get my master's degree there?
I've applied to and have been admitted to a one-year master's programme at Oxford (MSc). Can I consider myself officially an Oxford alum after I finish my degree there, or would I have to get an undergraduate degree? Also, could I consider Oxford as my Alma Mater or would that also only refer to undergraduate university?
Bump. Also in a similar situation
If you wabt to stay in finance you should consider Farliegh Dickinson. Stronger pipeline into IB and PE than Oxford.
Same question applies to doctorate degrees! I am considering a doctorate as well.
Yes
Please spare us from this nonsense
Can you explain? So I can get my one-year master’s and be a true Oxford man?
You probably wouldn’t be considered a real alumnus by the undergrads who would care, though I don’t know how many that is
How many of those will there be? I’m afraid I’d be going to Oxford for nothing if I’m not a true Oxford man
Would a DPhil also not count?
No
Is this Britannia moron making multiple accounts? Or is there really someone else this pathetic?
Probably
yeah HSMBAThroway is also likely his. Was just a matter of time until he posted anonymously. Nobody else is using the term 'oxford man' on this forum.
No—only the MA makes you an Oxford alum which you receive a few years after earning your BA.
Yeah your 80% acceptance rate master’s/doctorate course definitely counts.
Gay whore.
Only undergrad counts if you want the legitimate "Oxford experience" and the traditional network.
