Best undergraduate schools in Europe/Great Britain
Right now I'm in the process of applying for Universities.
My criteria are the following:
Preferably under £25,000
Decent reputation
For UK universities I have noticed a minor problem with grade scaling. A-levels are easier than my countries final exam and universities tend to take the results on a 1:1 scale which is quite strict. Therefore I need a school which wouldn't mind getting B's from some subjects.
I'm currently in process of applying to Erasmus Rotterdam and UVA. I haven't started with UK applications yet but I have my eye on Uni of Warwick, Bristol, Glasgow. I have looked into more prestigious schools such as UCL, LSE but I'm afraid I won't meet the min. requirements due to the poor grade scaling and the cost of some of them is over upper budget limit.
Thank you
Put an eye I into Bocconi, IE, CUNEF, Rotterdam, or University of St. Gallen, and Durham as well
Previously I did have Bocconi on my list as well. But after reading a couple threads I got the idea that it’s quite hard getting internships without speaking Italian. That’s why I’m thinking I’d be better off going to the UK right away as it would also be easier to create a network due to studying in the country. Of course I might be wrong. Maybe if someone has more insight regarding Bocconi
Completely disagree, Bocconi send loads of kids each year to London for internships
Yes, bocconi without italian... they have a pretty good network in London but not worth the price. IE way way over priced (and not even worth it if it was much cheaper). I'd recommend Erasmus Rotterdam, HSG or CBS. Good luck :)
Would you say going to the likes of CBS or RSM would be a better start than a Rusell group Uni?
Depends LSE is better than the two (and worth the £25,656 per year). Warwick is of the same level as of RSM or CBS. So depends, if you want to study in the UK or not. The others in the Russell Group are worse for a business bachelor :)
Would recommend HSG or ESCP for undergrad.
Definitely not ESCP another major cash cow...
Just saw your comment history. Hope the ESCP rejection didnt hurt too much…
I can promise never have and never will ;)
UCL is kinda shit for a business bachelor....
LSE being one of the best :)
Best options besides UK schools probably are Bocconi, HSG, ETH (non-business only), SSE, ie, Esade
I assume I wrote my post a bit poorly. But I’m open to schools in the UK as well. Most likely to more semi-target ones as the best ones are either too expensive or difficult to get in
Every single one I listed is better than UK semi-targets. Warwick, UCL, ICL are targets for undergraduates imo.
Non sense IE and ESADE: But between both clearly ESADE. SSE great option. I would not consider Bocconi to be top notch. Best is to go the UK like LSE and to a lesser extent Warwick... :)
TU Delft is great for engineering btw
Most UK semi-targets will meet your budget requirements as long as you're studying a non-stem subject (I am not including economics in STEM). Wouldn't do Glasgow, it's a non-target.
Regarding grades, not sure, you might just have to phone the admissions offices and have a chat.
