Can a MS in econ help me break in at associate level?

I'm a Dec 2019 graduate with a BSBA in finance at age 26. I was about to get an offer before covid hit and everything was paused. As a result, my alma mater Drexel is offering 50% off MS tuition for recent graduates. I like econ, and I would love a job in macro or equity research, public finance, or just straight up economics. Does a MS mean anything for jobs like this? Or will I still inevitably come in at an analyst level?

Most likely will break in at the analyst level. Pretty much the only way to break in as an associate is via an MBA
