How did you find out the acceptance rate is 44%? I wouldn't trust a study abroad consulting firm based in New Delhi for that.
It was the only number I could find, didn't put much stock into it, hence why I made the post to verify my own chances

Seems like a potentially viable profile to be admitted, but the fact that you don’t have any profile stats in the +90th percentile of competitiveness means you may not want to waive the GMAT.
While you probably have an average chance of acceptance, I’d work on a stellar GMAT score if I was you.
How many hours of study would that entail, keeping in mind that I've passed L1 of the CFA?
Also, what would my chances be for MIT?
Two months of prep for sure.
Take the GMAT and get a top score. Then apply and you may have a better chance. Gpa is fine, experience is fine.
What would you consider a top score?
Ok, got it. What would my chances be for MIT?
we talked on dm. You’ll get in just smash the GMAT or GRE. I haven’t looked at your resume but if it’s relevant exp it’s good don’t overthink.

Bud had I gotten SA at Moelis in the first place I wouldn't have made this post

I hope I can provide some insight here. Currently at Vandy's MSF program. I was at a non-target undergrad and missed the recruiting timeline for everything including full-time as I was exploring other career paths. The program itself is a game changer. In the same classes as MBA students; MBAs have the option of specializing in investment management or corporate finance, we take all of the classes as an MSF student. We also get priority during registration over MBAs for some classes because we are a one year program. Outstanding network of alumni (it's the oldest MSF program in the country) and great on campus recruiting. It enabled me to recruit last minute for an IB internship this summer as well before starting the program. Biggest thing I can say for admissions is nail your why Vanderbilt story.
Hey lifo! I am currently applying for the MSF program at Vandy. I got invited for an interview and I'm wondering if you could share, in case you remember, how your interview was and the questions they asked. Vandy is my target school and I want to really nail the interview. Being international student, I have to extra prepare due to the accent. What would you say is the best approach towards the "why the Vanderbilt story", if you had to think as an admissions officer?
Thanks!
