clueless senior asking for help

hey guys, just another high school senior looking for advice. I unfortunately did not get into any targets although I was waitlisted at Stern and had good stats( 35 act, 3.8 unweighted gpa, good EC, etc). So now I am left between 4 schools. I am left between Fordham, Syracuse, penn state, and seton hall. I am mostly between Fordham and penn state( they are around the same price) because Syracuse is too expensive and I don’t really hear about it and seton hall I can’t really find that many people in IB. I know that none of them are targets but which one in your opinion gives me the best chance to get into IB. I would really appreciate your help. thanks

You have tried asking this in multiple threads already, each with different nuances that you claim are irrelevant due to cost.

It is going to be a grind getting into IB at any of these universities. Choose the one you like the best and is also reasonably affordable.

I don’t really know why you are assuming that because you know how many people apply to penn state and Fordham because they know if they can’t get into an a target, they may have a chance at these schools. also that dude was asking for his sister and this is for me.

I like Fordham, but I feel like penn state would not only be more fun but it might allow me to shine more since I got into the honors college at penn but not the GHBP at Fordham.

How the heck did you not get into any top college with a 35 act and 3.8 uw gpa? I had around your GPA but a 33 act and got WL at the lower ivies and got into Stern, Ross, Berkeley and Olin.

What do you think did you in? You could get into all of the schools you mentinoed with a 30 act and 3.5 GPA easily...

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.

I really don’t know maybe because I am Asian and had a lot of basic Asian extracurriculars. I know people who had a lot better extra curricular and did not get accepted to top schools.

Yeah, but you said you have good ECs. It's kind of crazy how competitive things are getting! I feel like people ten years ago who got into Harvard or Stanford wouldn't even stand a chance at Tier 2 schools let alone the other Ivies. YOu literally have to have started a non-profit and made a $1mm and even then, you probably would get rejected from Wharton and end up at McCombs.

Did you reach out to your Stern regional admissions officer? I suggest sending an email indicating your strong intent to go there.

In my opinion, unless you are from Pennsylvania or with a significant scholarship, it makes no sense to go out-of-state for a state school of that caliber. Even if you are from Pennsylvania, I'd recommend Fordham. It's a decent private school near NYC albeit less than Columbia/NYU.

I will definitely take your advice and contact them. hopefully they can take me off the waitlist. like I said I like Fordham but the only things that worries me is that I might be outshine by the kids in GBHP and also my parents will make me commute if I go there.
