Comp Check - Post-MBA VP at a MM Fund
For an NYC-based post-MBA Vice President role at a MM firm that raised $1B - $1.5B for their latest fund. If it matters, growth has stagnated (previous few funds were larger / the same size). What comp range would you say is "market" for this type of role? Any help would be appreciated.
Recognize below you in title but providing a few datapoints from close friends/colleagues. $500-550k cash with $2-4m in Carry DAW seems to be standard for NYC MM. I think usually on the higher end of that range is more normal.
that seems high for only a 1-1.5 billion fund, from my experience that’s the range of ~$5bn+ funds. I would be very happy with that package.
This is closer to UMM funds. MF PE is usually around $600-650 cash and carry on top of that.
This encompasses post-MBA associates / senior associates / principals (depending on fund), right? I know different MFs have different titles for the post-MBA role.
