Easier Business Undergrads for transfer

I know all the targets and semi targets, but am wondering if I didn't want to go the econ route, which targets and semi target business programs would be easiest to transfer into? I am coming from a commuter school. I will have a 3.5-3.7 gpa when I transfer and have a year and a half of full time work experience in wealth management.

Can't really transfer into Ross if you're not already a student at Michigan. They take like 3-5 kids per year from outside UofM

I read through that list and it is very helpful. If i ended up having only a 3.5gpa would that be good enough? and is it worth going to a good school if I can only get in for econ? Its not my preference but would consider it if it still have me a shot for IBD

3.5 might not be good enough for a few of those schools (mainly the Ivies, Duke, NW etc). But depending on the rest of your extracurriculars, a 3.5 won't kill you. Work on boosting your extracurricular/leadership roles and start writing your essays.

And yes, it is worth going to a good school if you can only get in for econ. A lot of the top schools don't have undergrad business programs, so econ is considered the closest thing to business. For example, Duke doesn't have an undergrad business program, but econ majors get a lot of recruiting for IBD. Econ won't hurt your chances at IBD.

I know this is an old thread but my final gpa is in for the semester and I am starting to fill out apps. I was only able to get my gpa to a 3.4. If it matters my gpa over the past year is around a 3.8. With this and my work experience should I be applying to all the schools mentioned above or are many out of reach?

Hey if you don't wanna go the econ route id try for the University of Southern California and IU. I transferred into a school and am going the econ route, but I don't think it's a deal breaker. I'd definitely try to get into the best school possible irrespective of major.
