Help me pick a school

Got kinda fucked in the application process. Still waiting to hear back from a few but with the way things have gone I'm pretty sure these are my best options:

-IU Kelley

-Penn State Schreyer

-Lehigh Business

-UCL PPE

-Warwick PPE

-Western Ivey AEO

My GPA/SAT were pretty good so I'm definitely gonna try transferring, but these are my options for now. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I can only speak for the UK schools. Both are very strong courses at Warwick and UCL. UCL is more prestigious though and also better for recruitment being in London. Both are feeder schools though.

In the UK for undergrad:

Elite:

  1. Cambridge, Oxford (Cambridge is stronger for STEM)

Targets:

2a. UCL, LSE, Imperial

2b. Warwick

Semi-target:

  1. Durham, KCL, St Andrews

Still top universities but what you study and your grades will matter much more. 2:1 in Music at Oxford would probably put you in a better position for investment banking than a 1st in accounting and finance at Nottingham for example...

  1. Bath, Manchester, Bristol, Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds.

Thanks for the write up--I think London I'll be a much more fun place to go to uni in, so I'll probably end up at UCL.

Have friends/family that have gone to all of these schools. Ivey if you are okay being in Canada FT because US sponsorship has become harder or UCL if you want to be in London.

Are you a US citizen applying internationally or vice versa?

Can't speak to the international schools but IU / Penn State both have programs / on campus clubs that if you can get into place like 97.5%+ into IBD / S&T and even some buyside roles. Not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure Penn State Schreyer (specifically Schreyer and especially if you make the "dissertation" part of your coursework relevant to econ / finance / etc.) is academically stronger than IU and sets you up really well to network / talk about your research.
