IBEB (Econ) VS IBA In Erasmus University for non-eu student

I'm from a non-EU country (still within EMEA) and planning to pursue a career in finance. I'm not fully sure yet whether I want to go into (IB, S&T, ER, etc.) so I want to keep my options open. I got accepted into Bocconi’s BIEF program, but due to visa issues, I can't attend this year — and I don’t want to take a gap year just for Bocconi.

Right now, I have offers from both IBEB and IBA at Erasmus (RSM). I'm leaning toward IBEB, but I'm still unsure which makes more sense. I feel like IBA might limit my chances of getting into S&T, ER, or other "math-heavy" roles.

I plan to do a master’s in the US or UK after graduation. Based on my research, many top finance master’s in the US are quite quant-heavy, and even in the UK, there are some quantitative programs (Financial Mathematics etc.)

For those who studied or are studying in IBEB — how quantitative is it? Would it be enough to get into Financial Math or Quant Finance master’s programs? Do LBS/LSE accept students from IBEB? Are there any internship opportunities in the Netherlands for non-Dutch speakers? Also, is it possible to do Data Science master? (as a backup plan)

Should I go with IBA or IBEB? or taking a gap year for Bocconi worth it?

Hey congrats, Erasmus University is great. IBA is more business oriented and IBEB more finance and maths oriented. RSM generally has a better reputation and plenty have gone to LBS or LSE for a master in finance. You can also do the same with IBEB considering you have good grades (minimum 7.5 and a good GMAT). You can check linkedin a lot go each year from Erasmus to London/New York for top masters :) Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your answer!
While I'm ambitious for my Finance target, I would also like to have a backup plan incease something happens. Do you think it is possible to get in Data Science/ML kind of masters after IBEB?
