Interactions with other schools during MBA
Something I was curious about that I was hoping someone here could shed some light on:
During your MBA, how frequent are networking/mixer type events outside of the business school. I.e. a friend of mine is in Vet School at a large state university and her program frequently has mixers with the Law School. Does this happen at a lot of schools? Specifically thinking about T20 schools that are large, public universities that maybe don't have the "hardo" reputation within their cohort (Darden, McCombs, Kenan-Flagler). Would think it would be nice to be able to organically interact with peers at the Law Schools, Vet/Med Schools, etc. if given the opportunity.

If you're looking for events that are planned btwn the b-school and other schools at the Uni, it really depends on the school but most don't have that many inter-uni events. But you can always take the initiative and plan something for your b-school. Also look into university clubs at your school that pull candidates from across the uni, a great way to meet ppl and there's always the various 'graduate school' bars.
