International rankings of targets
Hello everyone, I am guessing that you clicked on this posted based on how ignorant the title must look. I am sure that you are all eager to try and sound smart by pointing out how different targets in different countries have different chances for that specific country, but hear me out. This ranking is simply for fun.
After reading alot of discussions about rankings on wso I've come to the conclusion that there werent (to my knowledge) any ranking comparing targets from different country and I believe it wouls make a great topic of discussion and spark some interesting debates.
Basically what I thinking of what this ranking would be was more like ranking targets that would help you break into IB in their respective continents so for instance. Cornell is in my opinion more highly acclaimed than Warwick a target school in the UK. However breaking into finance in the UK and maybe in Europe would probably be easier if you have attended Warwick, than breaking into finance in the US having attended Cornell.
So please everyone, I know how crazy making the idea of this ranking seems to most, but I do believe that it would make for a great debate. Also I think it might be useful in the future with alot of students in the UK going to study in the US thinking it maybe would be easier to break into high finance there.
Moreover, I would like to include semi-target but since its a very grey area and there is alot of them lets just stick to targets.
Hey LonelyBraincell, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I am sad to say, but this thread is lonely, so thought I'd post in here to try and help out. Some potential topics that might help:

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
Bump, sounds funI'll give it my best shot - plz don't MS, I'm just doing this cuz I'm bored on the restroomI'm aware some of these r masters only, but I think I'm Europe it basically works the same way for placement
Wharton
LSE
HYP
Oxford/Cambridge Lesser IVs
Stern, Ross , INSEAD, HEC
US T20s non finance (Stanford, UChicago, Duke), Williams, Georgetown
UCL, Bocconi, Essec, ESCP, St Galen
US semis (IU Kelley UF Masters, Tufts)
Imperial, Warwick, CBS RSM, SSE
US T100
Maastricht, KCL , Sciences Po
This is so wrong lol. HYP > Wharton and Oxbridge > LSE
Also what is Stanford doing down there lol. Should be with HYP and Oxford and Cambridge on top
There's no way you just said HYP> Wharton. For IB??? Wharton places lights out
Also commenter above, I think OP meant business school
Oxbridge doesn’t place as well as LBS or LSE…
It does per applicant. Basically no one at Oxbridge applies for banking whereas everyone does at LSE (slight but not a massive exaggeration).
Find it very interesting you mention RSM and Rotterdam in different categories when RSM is a faculty of the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
Doesn’t mean anything haha
Let me edit that
Curious from U.S. monkeys, is LSE really more known than Oxford/Cambridge?
Those two are normally considered a tier of their own here.
No, the average American definitely knows Oxbridge, but not necessarily LSE.
However in the context of IB placement, I felt that LSE did better + LSE's general course and Summer Program means that many Americans that end up going into "high finance" learn about LSE through those.
LSE is definitely below Oxbridge in the eyes of Banks and PE firms (but not by much)
Nuts this ranking to put ESCP and ESSEC and UCL so highly....
surely not
