Undergrad degree is in Finance from a small liberal arts college. Will I get any decent looks for entry level analyst positions? I graduated summa cum laude, played lacrosse all four years at school, and have been doing a financial accounting internship for the past two summers.

Did you just graduate? I don't see why you wouldn't be able to land something if you apply to enough places. I have a similar background as you. At least you did a somewhat technical internship and have a good GPA. What exactly do you want to do in PWM? A lot of it can be sales/client oriented, but if you get in at the right place it can be mostly salaried or have input on the investment process.

The wirehouses like Merrill Lynch would give you a job, but they have like a 90%+ washout rate since you have to build your own book. I'd even look at applying to independent RIA shops especially if they have a solid 1B+ book already. I'm sure there's a ton in the Boston area. They most likely have analyst/trader positions that would get your foot in the door. Some run their own investment stuff in-house which is cool if you like that aspect. If you get in young at the right place sometimes you can just inherit the older founders book and get lucky too. Lots of variables.
