Princeton vs. Columbia for undergrad

Fortunate enough to have gotten into both of these. I assume recruiting opportunities are basically the same at both but wanted to get folks opinions on culture / student experience? I've visited both briefly but given everything that's going on, probably won't be able to visit again before committing.

Princeton for preftige and if you want a campus life. Columbia is in the city so there's less of the old school "college" feel to it IMO. However, some are drawn to being in NYC - I grew up in NYC and knew I wanted to experience more of a campus life for college. Not to say there isn't a campus life at Columbia, but there's something to be said about being "trapped" on a campus in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of young people and essentially no rules for 4 years...

Princeton is notorious for grade deflation so you might have an easier time doing Econ at Columbia if you're gunning for Wall Street. That being said I partied at Columbia for what was supposedly their "most popping night of the year” and it wasextremely lame

People in the top industries try to measure prestige down to the millimeter these days and Princeton is definitely a little more prestigious.

“City schools” are also overrated as fuck. People are under the impression that you have to do seven internships during the year in order to stand out. You have you entire life to work, get a traditional college experience.

Princeton is the clear winner imo.
