Taking Classes After Graduation Just to Boost GPA

Hello All,

I recently graduated from my University with a degree in Economics and a 3.3 GPA. My university allows me to take courses after graduation and the grades I get in them add to my Undergraduate GPA. I plan on taking easy courses for the sole purpose of boosting my GPA and making myself look more appealing to B-schools. Good or Bad idea? Thank you everyone for responses and any help.

Have you done the math to look at how many classes you would take to move the needle?

Assuming you took 32 classes to graduate (4 per semester x 8 semesters), and your GPA was an even 3.3, you get your GPA to the point where you can even round up to 3.5, you would need to take 9 classes, getting an A in each.

To get up to a 3.6, you would need to take 18 classes!

So realistically, your GPA isn't going to change much. Getting up to 3.4 is about how you can reasonably hope for, and I don't know how much that helps you.

If business school is really your main goal, feels like there's probably something else you can do with your time that would be more impressive.
