Undergrad: Would it be better to pursue CFA Level 1 over an Economics degree?

Currently a sophomore doing a humanities major. (I love my major so I'm not considering switching to a business school/ program)

If I'd like to pivot/ consider a career in finance after graduation, would pursuing a second major in Economics increase my chances of landing an internship in IB/ AM/ PB roles as a humanities student? Or if it would be enough to show interests and some basic technical skills by pursuing a CFA certification?

My major alone will not land me any jobs , at least, there is no job directly related to my major (except academia). In terms of direct job prospect, my major is worse than a major in cultural studies, or gender studies.  I would love to major in finance but I would have to switch schools. I also know that top LAC often have students landing in finance roles without a degree in finance.

No offense to you. But many people who work in finance have other personal projects that they’re more passionate about(e.g. interior design, aviation etc.) Finance seems to be a lucrative career and I would like to know if there is any chance that I can improve my profile during my studies to land an internship (and maybe explore whether it is something I want to do in the future).
