US Schools to Open Branches in India

While Obama is in India - an article surfaced on Bloomberg about US schools being recruited by the Indian government to open branches within its borders. Sounds like a cool opportunity in the medium term. Here's a link to some commentary:

Would you rather study in China or India? Why or why not? Whose long term growth prospects do you have the most faith in?

Personally, mine would be India based on a more stable political system.

I feel like this is nothing new. Most decent sized schools have campuses in far off places, should be interesting to see how much attention they get from state side students though.

Foreign B-Schools might take some time to establish in India. Though I am sure the new institutes will be swamped by applications, the cream will still go to the US-based campuses or the local IIMs.

You guys should see the supply-demand mismatch in India- it's insane, at every level.
