Vandy MSF sexist?

I'm a female college senior and looking to apply to MSF/MMS/MIM programs and was taken about when I saw that the class makeup is only 20% female. This seems really, really low. I get maybe more men but Yale MS AM is 45%, Duke 41%, and U Chicaco 41%. Is there an old boy network at Vandy? Is there a reason that only 1/5 of the class is female? Please do not lash out- it was one of my top schools until I started looking more deeply into it...

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't specific commentary in the dataset addressing whether Vanderbilt's MSF program has an "old boy network" or why the female representation in the program is lower compared to other schools like Yale, Duke, or UChicago. However, the program is highly regarded for its strong placements in investment banking and private equity, with notable success in placing graduates into top-tier firms.

If gender diversity is a significant factor in your decision-making, it might be worth reaching out directly to Vanderbilt's admissions team to inquire about their efforts to improve gender balance and support female students. Additionally, you could explore alumni networks or connect with current students to gain more insights into the program's culture and inclusivity.

maybe not the answer you're looking for but try reaching out to some of the female student ambassadors and inquiring about their experience with it, they could give you more color.
