2022 Associate Salary (new pay bumps)
Hi all - starting this trend to compare ASSOCIATE pay bumps across the industry. With bonus season already here/around the corner, thought it would be interesting to see what banks/firms are rewarding associates. My bank recently bumped yr 1-3 analysts pay to 100/105/110k but nothing yet for associates. Bonus call is scheduled for next Friday so hoping to get at least the bump to 150k.
Thanks!
I don't think markets is getting jack shit for pay bumps above the analyst level since at some point they're going to have to pay negative bonuses to get to whatever shitty total comp they're going for.
You'll probably going to get whatever was standard before. At my bank that would be 140 for you.
Would you happen to know the general progression of an associate? Base/bonus/Total Comp?
Had an interview for a buy side role last year, learned that I was underpaid by 30k. That was without negotiation…unfortunately didn’t get it though.
Base
Ao0 - 125
Ao1 - 140
Ao2 - 150
Ao3 - 160
Total will depend on a lot of factors. I was paid 190/210/225/245, but I was not a direct P&L generator.
Just got promoted to associate, new base is 150.
curious for those at JP, is your first year associate base actually 175?
Same here, also curious if BofA boosted Ao0 salary to 150 or 175
would like to know this as well for S&T. 150 for 1st assoc is a bump, congrats.
assoc/VP BB base comp was traditionally:
A1, A2, A3, VP1
125, 140, 160, 175
