Belveder Trading LLC?

Belvedere Trading recruits from my semi-target public school and I just received an invite to do a Hirevue. Does anyone have any insight into the firm and its recruiting process that can't be found on its website? I applied blindly as I am more interested in an IB role; I really don't know what to expect from a trading firm interview. Any input would be appreciated!

Interview will be far more technical. Belvedere Trading is a respected prop shop focused fairly heavily on commodity derivatives. You need to be quick on your feet with mental math, probability, and sequences...

If your major is more business related, expect questions regarding macro trends, what product you might be the most interested in, prob wouldn't hurt to look over a gas report. Obviously if you are engineering major or other unrelated study, they will likely not expect you to know all those things mentioned above, but they will definitely test your mental ability heavily and then train you from there on out.

Also since you seem to be looking for more towards IB, you should probably understand the difference between sell-side and buy-side trading at the very least, because prop shops and IB trading desks are pretty different. Also try to understand and grasp techniques with market making, dealing, arbitrage etc.

For your curiosity, other prop firms that you may want to look into:

Chicago Trading Company (CTC) Jump Trading Spot Trading Citadel Akuna Capital Wolverine Trading DRW Trading Optiver Trading T3 (arcade) Tower Hill (arcade) Peak6

The list goes on but you get the idea.
