Moving from pricing to trading
I'm a quant working on pricing fixed income securities. I liked the job starting out, but it soon got boring, and I am looking to go into trading since im really not learning much anymore. Is it at all viable to get a trading seat within S&T with my experience? I would say there's a ton of overlap in general workflow and tools I use day to day with that of a trader and I do have to interface with various clients day to day both on the buyside and sellside, but of course I don't trade.
I'd like to move within my product to a trading seat (since I have expertise in it) but any other macro product would also be fine since I see quite a bit of overlap in other pricing teams and mine. I can say for certain that I would know any of these products more deeply than an average trader, just without the risk taking aspect and I also have the complete quant toolkit (can code, 2 degrees in math/applied math, took advanced stats courses, etc.).

What is your background?
OP here. Been working in BB Quant team for 1.5 years, as far as education goes I got two degrees (BS+MS) in math/cs/stats both from T10 with good grades (>3.8). Wasn't super into S&T in undergrad but now see that the sort of places I wanna be in can be achieved through S&T.
