is this middle office or back office ??? can anyone provide more details about this Chief Operations Officer Team ?
the operative word is "Operations"

Hi, I recently interviewed for a S&T summer internship at a bulge bracket bank in their Emerging Markets (Asia) desk. I got in through, but the email states that I've been assigned to "COO trading". Does anyone know what this is? (especially with respect to emerging markets?)
The only COO trading I know of is :Cooper Companies Inc. Maybe they mean you're trading for the COO? (Chief Op.Officer)? Like his own personal trader?
I would be interested in finding out what that means, exactly.
There are CMOs, CDOs, CLOs, but I have neer heard of a product named COO.
Also, why didn't you ask them what it means?
