Who is hiring?

I wonder in this type of market, which prop trading firms / hedge funds / S&T division of banks are looking for full-time traders graduating in summer 2009. Tried a couple in the fall (i.e.: DE Shaw, Jane Street Capital), but was told they weren't hiring. Appreciate any tips on this.

iambateman, you really act just like the character. But I was thinking the same thing, tempted to not even click on the post due to poor grammar. And for summers, I would say they are still hiring, just about 1/3 of what it was last year though.

I know Wolverine is, though I dunno if they still are accepting applications

Jack: They’re all former investment bankers who were laid off from that economic crisis that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have zero real world skills, but God they work hard. -30 Rock

Just because there was a grammar mistake in the title, it doesn't mean you need to post useless responses. The purpose of the forum is to provide constructive comments relating to trading. It's not to make fun of people's mistakes. It's not like you haven't made a grammar mistake before.

Revsly, thanks for your useful advice!

Actually in the UK people refer to collective entities such as investment banks and trading companies as plural rather than singular. Visit some British forums and you will see this type of grammar used pretty regularly.

So it may just be cultural differences rather than complete idiocy on the part of the original poster.
