Why are American steel producer stocks falling ?
Tariffs are good for domestic producers. Why are they falling ? It is quite counter intuitive right - they should go up.

yea good call, buy them on the dip quick
steel products are fairly specialized. I imagine us producers are getting hurt as they produce goods that are primarily exported, and investors may not believe the long term benefits of tariffs outweigh the long-term costs (econ 101 man)
example pipeline steel is produced in Asia and energy sector may actually suffer by paying higher costs now and that value wont go to domestic steel producers as they dont have the tooling/expertise to make pipeline steel
