Anyone heard of or interviewed/worked with a firm called Kingfish Group in SF?
So I am going to interview with this firm, but I couldn't find too much information on their company website, or their transaction history on Mergermarket, just wondering if anyone could share some information about this company, how is it to interview or work with them? thanks so much
Hey 84421jhfgfdgfgf, I swear if I had a silver banana for every lonely thread I posted too I'd be richer than @compbanker ...
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
When I was at a LMM boutique, they came into our office to catch up and talk about prospective deals. It was only one guy, but he was very polished and seemed like a smart person. Not much more I can say.
Thank you so much for the info
These guys pitched me once before. Historically they're not really principal investors -- more of a consulting firm of sorts that coinvests in the deals that they work on (though it looks like they're leading some deals now based on the website?).
From what I recall they were primarily in the business of brokering relationships between PE firms and ex-CEO types to help move deals forward -- operate like a GLG or a Korn Ferry but with a strategic angle to it (i.e. getting you in touch with a guy who advises on the deal then becomes Chairman).
