Linkedin Cringe - Investment Bankers

Lately I am watching in many CV Screenings and mostly in Linkedin people updating their likedin profiles as "Investment Banking Interns" at no-name boutiques that are just corp finance and sometimes its not even M&A. (EDIT they claim to be M&A IBankers)

Dont you think that people are misusing that word? I really prefer in interviews when people are realistic and they tell me they were M&A interns or Corp Finance Interns rather than an invented "IB intern", why do people lie that much when its not even going to be benefitial?
