Goldman Sachs Speciality Lending Group
I know its part of the Special Situations group, but does anyone know anything more (There's literarly nothing on the Google). Specifically, if they offer internships and if they are similarly structured to IB?Is it a significant part of GS's total operations, and how much revenue does it generate? Thanks
x
Well I don't know for sure if its within the SSG, thats just what someone told me. Only reason Im asking is because GSSL is headquartered near where I live and Ive been told that two kids at schools very nearby (and very non target for IB) have interned or FTed there.
1) it is not part of SSG. 2) If you know of two people that interned or work there, speak to them. They will have better answers than college kids here.
Yes, Specialty Lending Group is in SSG
I don't know the names of the people who interned there. Does GS hire interns regionally at all, or only in NY?
.
Middle Market Mezzanine/Debt. They hire interns out of schools in the regions where the offices are located (Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and maybe a couple others I think).
Don't bother unless you're a superstar, i.e. Princeton valedictorian, D-I athlete with Olympic prospects, etc.
They don't want you, unfortunately (or even me!), and it's unlikely you're sufficiently accomplished to warrant consideration.

I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with this particular group? Anyone who has interviewed with them, previously worked with them, knows someone who works there, or is currently working there, any information you can provide would be great.
If anyone on here currently works with them or has in the past, it would be great if we could meet up and talk about the job/interview process/etc. I'm in the DFW area and the job is in Irving.
Thanks!
PM me.
Some of the EIF alums at tcu went to GS specialty lending. PM me.

Anyone know anything about this group? Are they basically a mezzanine lender? Any idea on pay/exit opps?

Anybody?
I know they have an office in Irving, TX.
That tells a lot of the story.
Anyone have any additional information on this firm?
Does anyone know about the recruiting process?
They recruit regionally and want people interested in working in debt and not M&A
