Senior Finance Thesis Paper Topic Ideas

Ok bankers and prospects Ill make this short and concise in the interest of saving you time to get back to your spreadsheets. I am a rising senior that would like to successfully complete a senior thesis paper on some finance related topic to bolster my already jam-packed and meticulously furnished resume (and of course to pursue my vast interest in finance ;-)). I was hoping you could perhaps share your thoughts on any topic in the realm of finance that you find intriguing, confusing, unsettling, exciting, essentially something that can be milked during an interview. I'd prefer my initial idea not knock people into a temporary coma and frankly I think industry practitioners' ideas, yes you, you quantitatively inclined, well furnished and fiercely motivated banker, will be able to properly come up with those type of ideas. I will be using these ideas as starting points … that is, unless one of you just completely knocks one out of the park. Thanks!

You could investigate the role that Dodd-Frank will have on the future of finance, say 5, 10, 20 years down the road as different aspects of the bill start to affect the industry (i,e,, placing derivatives on exchanges).

just found out the good news, have to write a senior thesis (undergrad).

Anyone have any suggestions? Was thinking of the subprime mess but that's kind of played out. A topic in finance would be preferred. Also something that's interesting and will make me WANT to learn more about the subject??

Any help is appreciated. thanks.

I think writing about the financial crisis will be great and will be an informative read. How about the flash crash of May. I am writing about the effects of wars of choice.

I am not cocky, I am confident, and when you tell me I am the best it is a compliment. -Styles P
