I want to become a quantitative financial analyst -- help me decide my majors

I have recently decided that I want to become a quantitative financial analyst after I finish my education. I was originally planning to double major in math and finance, along with a minor in computer science. However, I learned that a math-finance double major is next to impossible at my school due to the fact that they are in different schools (arts & sciences vs. business) and thus it would be a "dual degree" instead of a double major, which has a lot more requirements and is difficult (if not impossible) to complete in 4 years.

So now I have to decide on (an)other major(s). I am now considering finance major with a math/compsci double minor or a math/economics double major with a compsci minor. Which of these majors (or possibly another combination that I have not considered) would put me on the path towards future success the best? I think that the finance degree would be better suited specifically for becoming a quant, but the math degree would give me more options in terms of future job opportunities.

After some more research and thought, I am now considering a math/computer science double. There is also a minor in "risk management and insurance", which is essentially a bunch of finance classes, which might be worth pursuing.

You do bring up a good point about statistics though. Statistics is definitely important for the job, although I've always preferred straight up math over statistics. Maybe I'll take a class and see how I like it and then perhaps pursue a minor.

edit: The risk management and insurance is actually a minor, not a major
