At my BB, I have seen more and more of the analyst job become outsourced. For example, we now have international assistance for creating working group lists (WGL), formatting specific sections of pitch decks (maps, logos, etc.), and sometimes even creating drafts of committee memos.
What types of outsourcing support do you guys have at your BB, MM, EB banks?
I am curious to see how outsourcing has affected other banks and whether you guys think this will continue.

This is happening at BBs more than at MMs and EBs I believe
I outsource my comps and slides formatting (long stuff ie maps), probably saves me 1-2 hours on a daily basis.
I thought these things have long existed inside BB and BB are downscaling these.
At my old BB there were 6 formatting guys (they also do WGL) and I was told there were 10 guys 3 years before I join.
Another bank I know had onsite formatting guys but moved them to India. They also reduced capacity in recent years. Previously 24x7 but recent years they do till 3am on weekdays and half day on weekends.
There isn't much international outsourcing at my MM bank but there is internal outsourcing and IB tools like bamsec, mappingIntern, and it looks like soon http://www.letspartnerinstead.tk/</a">memofi - http://www.letspartnerinstead.tk/</a">fi.co" rel="nofollow">www.memofi.co. I outsource maps/formatting/WGL internally. The IB software tools show that technology is doing more and more of the analyst's job. Analysts will never be instinct but they may evolve into roles that build client relationships and present after tech catches up.
I don't know what world you live in, but as a 22 year old, even I don't think I can "build client relationships and present". What job does that leave everybody else with then? Are we going to be judged on how big our roldex is? Oh, 2nd year analyst is leaving: deal flow is going to be bad because he had relationships with Google and Salesforce.
