OT, but why is "Elaine Benes" from Seinfeld the first thing that came to my mind after hearing Louis Dreyfus?
The actress who plays Elaine is Julia Louis-Dreyfus
She is related to the founder
Friend of mine interned there. They pay pretty well (better than BB for the summer I think) and the hours were relatively light. The only downside is that the work is a bit mundane and could pigeon-hole you if you aren't sure you want a career in commodities.
which office/location did your friend intern at? Also, Commodities or energy?
When do their normal recruiting start? I think I contacted them a few backs back and they said they follow the regular spring recruitment season. Cashcow> Do you know how competitive the internships there are?

The Louis-Dreyfus office in my area seems to only recruit Msc and Phd's in quant subjects, is their summer program open to finance/econ undergrads?
The website says sophomores and juniors are welcome to apply. I emailed their CT HR and got no response.
