MBA>GSAM/JPM AM/Blackrock?
Interested to know if anyone here has made the jump from MBA to a top Asset Management firm. The firms I listed don't recruit on-campus at b-schools so trying to figure out how best to position myself.

Black Rock had a product Dev internship last year but overall most AM is ad hoc and something you just bite your teeth into. I'd get a massive list of the firms and create logins on all their sites and resume drop once boring starts back up
Short, have you managed to get interviews for blind online resume drops? Those seem like a massive black hole.
not a black hole
double post
Not a black hole at all. Not if you are a good candidate anyway.
I'm an equity analyst at a large AM now and I got my first call from HR after a resume drop on the company's website. Though I do agree your chances are much better if you can bypass HR.
Ya got my current role from online resume drops. Its all about properly keywording your resume so the scanners pick yours up.
I know of a GSAM intern from CBS this past summer.
