Options outside NYC IB
I am currently a freshman at a non target. I would like to work in IB in NYC to start my career. I love the city and the opportunities IB gives you seem to be stellar. However, I can't see myself starting a family in NYC, and that is a goal of mine. I would like to remain on the east coast somewhere warm (Charlotte or Charleston, SC). I know Charlotte is clearly better for finance than Charleston, but I'm curious what other opportunities are out there?
What are good alternative cities to NYC that have high paying ($100k+) finance/consulting jobs and what would be a post-IB career with a good work life balance (50 hrs week max if possible)

Just make MD and start your second family in South Florida.
Boston has a decent number of banks. Charlotte has certain groups for BAML, WF, and Jefferies. Atlanta has SunTrust. Richmond has Harris Williams. St. Petersburg has Raymond James.
