Chatted with a VP from my school there yesterday. I think they have 5 summer analysts right now and he said they look to hire them all back first. In the chance they don't hire all 5 back, they'll look to the pool of applicants and he said it'll be 400-500 people vying for the 1 (or 2) spot(s).

If you’re just starting to network now, you’re well behind. They’re only interested in UVA, GT, Emory, and heavy targets. They seem to care a ton about culture and an interest in Atlanta and C/R.

im taking a similar approach for FT recruiting this summer. Only gonna network at places that I think I have a good shot. Not worth networking a bunch for nothing, instead of putting full energy on SA

Seriously tho. No point in me networking at a KKR or Blackstone only to not even get a first round or something considering there are so many other, better qualified people going for it (I don't have a typical IB/PE background) lol. As the Greeks said, know thyself.
