Sophomore Resume Review - Rising junior hoping to land a BB position

Alright, here is my freshly tailored resume. I am a rising Junior hoping to land a BB IBD or PE offer for next summer. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

So, what do you think?

If a time-span for an activity is within the same month (for example, your M&A Boot Camp), list the month and not a time span (i.e. just "5/10" instead of "5/10-5/10").

Take it easy on those interests. I'd cut it to about 3, no more than 5. And you better be ready to talk about one of those intelligently if you catch some interviewer who knows shit about vintage motorcycles. Would not lead with "psychology film and philosophy" unless you're interviewing for an internship at a place where people wear skinny jeans and thick framed glasses.

Maybe trade out 5 of the ones you have for 1 that makes it sound like you have ever seen sunlight. Lot of former athletes in the banker ranks.

I'm not too qualified to provide an opinion, but at least I can ask did you do anything over summer after freshman year, and are you doing anything during this summer? Something I noticed in regards to your work experience happening only during the school year of sophomore year.

I appreciate all the input thus far. Only worked a landscaping job and traveled last summer, which I tried to make up for by working sophomore year. Then again, maybe I should put that experience in place of my PWM stint to show that I have indeed "seen sunlight."

Re: eating926, I'm at a hedge fund in Singapore for the rest of this summer.

P.S. I am a former athlete. With that said, psychology, film, and philosophy are still very interesting to me. Oh yeah, I also wear skinny jeans.

After having heard many resumes get ripped apart for dumber things on the floor, cut those interests down to one line -- it looks toolish, looks like you tried too hard.

edit - btw it looks good, you have the stats. stop worrying about the resume and stop posting on wso for awhile. Hit the interview guides and network hardcore.
