Tailoring cover letters to specific firms

So we all know to tailor cover letters to specific firms/jobs. Some people who have critiqued mine have said to mention specific things about firms as to why I am attracted to them. However, I am not really sure how to do this in a genuine way and without coming off as BSing.

Like we all know MBB are excellent places for growth and learning, highly professional, and demand a lot of out workers. But when someone asks "Why Bain specifically", as opposed to McK or BCG, I am not exactly sure what they want me to say. Most people are probably going to apply to all three, especially APDs like myself. I am just wondering in the 'why this firm in particular' how to articulate your interest in the firm genuinely and differentiate it from the others.

thanks
