VC 1-Page Investment Opportunity Memo (Interview Advice)
Hi Everyone,
I am currently interviewing with a top-tier VC to join their research team in a very junior role. The next step in the process is a 1-page investment opportunity memo which the team will evaluate. While I have experience with executive summaries generally, I have never written a 1-page memo. Apologies if this is an ignorant question, but is there a specific format used in the VC world for something like this?
I am fully prepared to use a condensed research paper outline, but wanted to check here first. I am aware of the Roelof Botha leaked Sequoia memo, but that seems somewhat long. Additionally, I am aware of this template: https://alitamaseb.medium.com/a-template-for-star… .
First-person insight here would really help. Thank you very much to anyone who reads or comments. Take care.

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
Bessemer publishes past investment memos on their website that you can reference (https://www.bvp.com/memos)
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you very much. I appreciate this a lot as it will give me multiple data points to reference in terms of language, content, etc. (Sb'd.)
Have a great weekend.
So late to this...but this is amazing. Thanks for sharing this. Immensely helpful for learning about new age consumer/tech companies.
