Hey, what do you guys think about this? Is it a good place to start for Asset Management? Also, do you guys know when this position would begin?

Specific Responsibilities Include Assist portfolio management team to prepare coherent investment strategies for clients and manage clients’ exposure to duration, curve, sector allocation and risk metrics. Effectively communicate with investment professionals across Guggenheim Partners’ various investment groups. Help develop applications to manage risk across portfolios and portfolio construction needs of the broader organization. Monitor and manage cash positioning across portfolios. Support portfolio management by generating and monitoring portfolio analytics and conducting analyses of insurance portfolios performance with focus on returns, yields, duration, curve, sectors and surveillance. Assist portfolio managers in compliance monitoring and compliance testing across mandates. Help develop, prepare and review the on-going production of portfolio summary reports for Management. Assist in preparing and reviewing scheduled deliverables and ad hoc client requests and support Guggenheim’s client relationship efforts. Collaborate with Operations and Trading teams to design and develop reports and portfolio management “tools” using Microsoft Excel and other internal or third-party systems. Work with portfolio managers on various investment projects to identify and assist in the development and implementation of best practices. Support marketing efforts and new business initiatives, including generating or reviewing marketing materials and other ad hoc requests. Understand and maintain investment related processes and procedures and be able to improve operational effectiveness. Help analyze performance attribution and monitor performance drivers across portfolios and sectors. Develop competency in various fixed income and equity concepts and products.

Looks like your standard AM analyst type role where you're gonna be doing a little of everything, including BO stuff like operations. Guggenheim is also a good shop so I see nothing wrong with this role.
