Valuations --> REPE??
First off, I'm a junior at a non-target school, I am still so distraught about the choice that I made back in the fall when recruiting for my internships. I want to go into REPE, I got two internships, Valuations and Acquisitions at a REPE firm and I eventually took the valuations role.
I wanted to get any advice on transitioning from Valuations to REPE. Looking around WSO I saw that's its not common and is really hard, it's making me regret the decision that I made in the Fall big time. If anyone has input that would be great.
It's not that uncommon. Sure you aren't going to be going directly to Blackstone or Starwood and you'll have to start in an analyst role when you do move to the buy side but there are endless examples of people that make the switch. Just focus on networking and crafting your interview answers and you'll get there. No need to be stressing
