deciding about schools in Canada

Hi I’m going into uni next year didn’t get into queens or Ivey not sure what to do next I got into every other school I applied to and I’m debating between mac, Laurier and uoft. I’m afraid those schools aren’t good enough to break in the industry if anyone has any advice to where should I go or tips that will make it easier to land a good internship when I’m there plaese let me know.

UofT and Laurier have similar placements on Bay St, UofT slightly better on Wall St, you'll have more fun at Laurier, and Mac gets you none of the above

Rotman has no US pipelines other than Dyal IIRC, and even that I’m not sure about after the TN crackdown.

WF NY kid from Rotman is a US citizen, and Laurier sends a couple to Ares every cycle I believe, plus one heading to BC Partners.

In Toronto, Laurier also places way better into top tier buyside co-ops like Altas, Burgundy, Onex, TCAM, etc, none of which Rotman places into consistently.

If you’re a top kid at Laurier you’ll place well, and taking advantage of the co-op program can let you land some very prestigious seats which you can leverage for US SA recruiting.

Laurier didn’t send anyone to US this cycle except the 2 to Ares, so similar US placements. And sure, you can be a buyside merchant with Laurier co-op, but no one ends up returning there FT with the exception of the 2 Fidelity guys. All roads lead to Big 5 IB, where each school gets a similar number of seats, only caveat is Laurier kids typically have to work harder since banks are stingy with off cycles.
