An interview with The Walt Disney!!! :)

Hi, I have an interview with the Pension Investments and Interest Rate Risk group of The Walt Disney. Somehow, i was just happy when I saw the e-mail from disney lol

Does anybody know what the interview is going to be like? Anyone know anything about what they like to ask?

Thanks!

OP - do you have a description of the posting? People may be able to give some general advice based on that.

Just going on the title alone - I would assume you may get some investment and portfolio type questions. Maybe how would you start building out a portfolio? (re: determine asset allocation to various asset classes) and things you need to consider while doing so (re: the pension's risk and return objectives). Since the group title also includes "Interest Rate Risk" - it likely means they also do interest rate hedging - either using bonds or swaps.

If you find their 10K, you can look under the pensions section to see if they show their current asset allocation.

Following is a description:

The Pension Investment Group within Corporate Treasury oversees over $7 billion of retirement plan assets encompassing both defined benefit (pension) and defined contribution (401(k)) plans. The company’s pension plan is invested in a broad array of diversified investments including domestic and international equities, fixed income and alternative investments (private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge funds). The Interest Rate Risk Management Group within Corporate Treasury actively manages the exposure associated with changes in interest rates on the company’s $7 billion net debt portfolio. The group manages this risk using a variety of interest rate derivatives, including interest rate swaps.

The Corporate Treasury Department seeks a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Financial Analyst to support both the Pension Investment and Interest Rate Risk Management groups. The Analyst will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis and ad-hoc research and administration. In addition, the Analyst will have the opportunity to participate in investment manager searches, benchmark studies and senior management presentations. The Analyst will interact with leading investment banks and top quartile investment managers. Through these activities, the Analyst will learn about key elements of investment management, global capital markets, and financial risk and develop a broad range of financial and business skills.
