BlackRock Comp?

After searching around WSO more than I’d like to admit. The topic in question remains. I will be going to a investment role within Alternatives in BlackRock (no further info to prevent doxxing myself). And was curious if anyone had insight into the comp and growth of salary? All I was able to find were some numbers in the product strategy role which were much lower than expected. Any sort of help would be appreciated.

Hey Intern in AM - Equities, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your thread! Bummer...could just be time of day or unlucky (or the question/topci is too vague or too specific). Maybe one of these topics will help:

You're welcome.

There is a lot of dispersion in comp at BLK (see article about a PM making >$100mm), so really hard to say without more info. Product strategy generally doesn't pay very well, so not a good benchmark if you're in an investment role.

Benchmarking across the industry based on your group probably makes more sense, e.g., look up private credit comp threads if you're in private credit. Concentrate on total comp rather than salary, which won't matter when you start getting carry.

Appreciate the thorough response, that was my go-to methodology for doing research regarding potential comp. Given that I'm more in the distribution side of investing (fundraising) there exists less data points. SB'd

My apologies, my base comp lies around 75k usd (given that I work in APAC which does not receive USD) with bonuses being unclear, thus coming to the formation of this post .

Networked with someone in PMG. They said 100k base 20k bonus for first year analyst
