Bocconi -> AM. Do I have a chance?

Struggling to stick to an option, I chose Bocconi MSc in management and snubbed Warwick's MSc in Finance. I'm pretty certain electives allow me to tweak the program to make it finance heavy. I need to leverage this degree to get into Asset Management. I thought about Equity Research sell-side first then move to the buy-side later, which is still on the table, but a combination of meager work experience and low self-esteem tells me such move is impossible. I did an unpaid internship with a small firm to help but not more than that

Provided that I 1 - am neither Italian nor British 2- have a terrible undergrad GPA 3- cussing my ass to pass CFA level 2 Is there a chance to land a role in a large Asset Management firm, preferably in London? What's the general outlook for joining Portfolio Management teams out of MSc?

Thanks a lot.

I think you will do fine. Just prove that the grades doesn't reflect your intelligence and you are good to go. Have a hobby into some weird sector and maybe if you get close to the upper MA and want to talk about something business tell them that. Aim for the emerging markets is what I would give you as an advice. Smaller population and more room for you to ball.
