Do I have a chance?
I've seen some threads on here that the university of Leeds isn't really considered a semi target and anyone who wants to break into AM or high finance has to fight tooth and nail for a single offer.
I'm thinking of doing economics and finance at the university of Leeds. For context , I do have 2 week work experience at JPMC (did a project where I researched company financials and competitors, then presented an investment pitch) and 1 week virtual work experience with Bank of England (project on financial stability) and other economic extracurriculars.
If I went to the University of Leeds, what would be my chances and how much harder would it be to break in?
Significantly harder - Leeds is not a semi-target university. Personally, I do not know anyone (graduated a few years ago now) who went to Leeds. There may be a few outliers, but they will almost certainly have a target master's and top grades/extracurricular's.
Thanks for your reply. The closest high semi target to me is Durham which is almost 3 hours away by train. I'm honestly thinking I should just endure the commute and go to Durham University .
