Morgan Stanely SB Product Rotational

does anybody happen to know anything about the morgan stanley smith barney full-time product rotational program? its NOT the retail side of smith barney that deals with high net worth clients directly. it consists of three 8-month rotations to different departments (alternative investments, mutual funds, etfs and closed-end funds, annuities and insurance, etc.)
is this a good learning opportunity if i were to want to get into VC/PE sometime down the road? or a top 5-10 b-school? would it be more valuable than for example IB at a mediocre boutique? again, its product, not client based, and im looking for private equity long term as opposed to banking.
any information on the program would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance for your help!
