Would someone with a Wharton undergrad degree plus a CFA® charter really need an MBA? It seems like everyone says an MBA is needed in finance to progress, but this doesn't make sense to me. Thanks.
You're asking too broad of a question; it totally is based upon what you want to do. Depending on your career path it could be of little use. If you were to work at a HF it could be more of a waste of time where as if you worked in PE one could argue there are greater benefits. Figure out what you want to do then go from there.

Well, let's assume I want to end up as a PM for a hedge fund. Or make buy/sell decisions for a private equity firm, or another investment entity.
