I have a first round for Alphataraxia for an analyst role, and I have never heard of this firm. What is it and what are the salary ranges?
Here's the blurb: "Alphataraxia Management (ATX) is a fast-growing investment management group with offices in both Washington DC and Los Angeles."
I'm not sure if it's a scam.

We are one of the top participants in the energy power markets. I know most people, including even my own parents, will never come across these markets in their whole lives, but power markets are huge exchanges where a lot of volume is exchanged. We buy and sell futures financial contracts that settle on the underlying prices of electricity, which is the most volatile commodity in the world. We combine a deep fundamental understanding with a rigorous quantitative and analytical approach. Prices in our markets can be modeled and forecasted... but if you want to do it well, there are a lot of pieces to put together. So we pull in data from tons of different sources, build our models, and develop proprietary investment strategies. It's a really nice combination of finance, quantitative modeling, and energy.
