I've used Schweser + Mark Meldrum + CFA Institute materials in the past.
If you are just starting out, consider how you learn best. For me, it's audio. So Mark Meldrum's videos are a life saver as I can listen to them and follow along with the relevant sections. I've found Schweser to be good at helping you 'focus' so to speak on what matters within a topic vs. getting bogged down in the CFA material itself. I find this key - find the route that keeps you as dialed in as possible.
No matter what you do - measure your success by the problem sets, mock tests, etc. provided by the CFA institute itself. Do every single question at the end of the actual material. Do everything on the online platform and the practice tests.
